Osamu
Tezuka: Glimpses of a Fantasic Imagination is the 1st curated
programme Philip Brophy produced for the Melbourne International Film
Festival. The focus of this programme was the animated works directed
by Osamu Tezuka, as well as those based on his manga. The programme
included selected TV series episodes as well as all of Tezuka's short
films. A slide lecture on Tezuka's manga and its relation to his animated
works was also presented by Philip Brophy.
