Kevin Purdy has been running his Soft Records label since 2000. If there's something in a name, then 'soft' is the wide terrain Kevin has been traversing under his guise Purdy and his trio Tooth. It's a world away from the heroics attracted to notions of being 'hard'. His output has always been refreshing, inviting and immersive, drawing the dots between Canterbury sound, 'melodic wave' (Feelies, Tuxedo Moon, Dislocation Dance, et al) with early Ninja Tune melodic loping.
