A off-shoot from the cyber-police/renegade-robot world of AD Police and Bubble Gum Crisis, Parasite Dolls delves deeper into dark departmental intrigue via a smaller organization within ADP, the Branch. We follow a tense trio of Buzz an edgy human cop Michaelson a fesity action chick and Kimball an unnervingly toned-down boomer. The querying line that separates robot, cyborg and human encircles a bottomless pool for speculation in anime, and Parasite Dolls dives deep into its mental miasma. Cuteness finds no quarter here, and Parasite Dolls combines violence, sexuality and urban crime-and-grime to great effect.
