A
love-comedy shifting from the riotous to the forlorn, Negima! teases out a romantic love-hate relationship between pre-teen
boy wizard apprentice Negima and young-teen Asuna. As part
of his final training, Negima must teach English at an all-girls' school
where he encounters Asuna after replacing the teacher with
whom she had been infatuated. Negima's meek demeanour finds
its opposite in the fiery madcap Asuna, making for many a
calamitous heated moment throughout Volume 1's episodes.
Noticeably limited in its animation due to being a 'market-dictated' TV
series in Japan, this series should nonetheless appeal to
a similarly defined children's audience in Australia.
