Yuji a sleeper who has been awakened from cryogenic suspension is suddenly thrust into this world. There he must survive by becoming a crack soldier under the tutelage of Marlene with whom he forms a desperate love. But those bugs just keep coming and humans just keep dying. This is anime tragedy of the highest order: fascinating in its depressive outlook.
